Ok, I thought that could be a nice idea to talk about our school related stuff.
So, please comment and write your situation.

I start. I'm studying to be a laboratory technician. It will take 3 years at all and i'm learning various stuff like chemistry (organic and inorganic), french (i'm good in it), electronic (love it Smile ), english, optic, physical education, philosophy (i hate that), physic, biology (hum... too much stuff to remember by heart), mathematics (I've always been great in maths), statistics, and more is coming this automn and later.

This year (first of 3), elma took very much of my time, even harm strongly. I'm totally addicted to it. I almost failed, but got near to 60% in many courses. Unfortunately, I failed philosophy to 55%. (60% is requiered to pass).

I like chemistry, but dunno why, I don't have motivation to work on it...

I'm done with normal school consisting 6 (7 for nabs in norway now Laughing ) years elementary, 3 years secondary and two years studying. Now I have too work 2,5 years at my company, until I'm fully educated. The second year I have to go to school one day every week. In the end I'll take my final exam and then I'm done, but I could go 4 or 5 years more if I want a higher job or start my own company.

Mats, on MSN, wrote:
hows the grade system
- 6 years of elementary school
- then 5 years of secondary

after, its the moment to chose your work and studying in it, you can choose between 3 choices:
- Professionnal School: only learning your work (to get a cheap salary usually), this one is more manual. ex: construction, farm, infography, cooking

- CEGEP: to learn your job with more courses like maths, philisophy, etc. this is between intellectual and manual. ex: technicians in everything, like laboratory, electronic, physic, etc. or nurses

- pre-university in CEGEP, you have courses to prepare yourself to university, you cannot use this diploma to get a job

And obviously, university fo mental works usually:
- University: u know, i think its same for everywhere

maybe this could help:

In norway we have 1 to 6 were 6 is best.

examples:
5- = weak five, closer too 4
5+ = strong, closer too 6
4/5 = mid between 4 and 5 but closest too 4
5/4 = mid between 5 and 4 but closest too 5

And you cannot get 6+

6 is best

2 is the lowest you can get if you dont wanna do the subject or schoolyear over again. If you get 1 you are somekinda stupid retard, or just reallly dumb.
